Objective & winning

There is one goal: be the world's #1 power when the 2050 finale arrives. The game runs 25 in-game years and then ranks every nation across eight separate fields — finish first overall and you earn the title 'The First Power'.

How it works

The campaign ends after 25 in-game years (2025 → 2050); the demo build stops earlier, at 12 years, and nudges you toward the full release. There is no early instant-win — you always play the clock out, which means a strong midgame still has to be defended all the way to the finale. Your peak rank is remembered, so if you ever hit #1 during the run, the ending honours it with 'The First Power' even if you slip at the very end.

At 2050 every nation is scored in eight categories: overall power, economy (GDP), military, technology, stability, population, diplomacy (allies and positive relations), and intelligence (spy network and counter-intel). The world #1 is the nation with the highest overall score. Alongside the ranking, the game also computes a separate 'reign' verdict out of 100 — grading your growth, prosperity, national power, stability and international influence against your own starting point — so a small nation that punches above its weight is still recognised.

The eight fields mean there are many roads to the top: out-produce everyone economically, out-build them militarily, lead the tech table, dominate diplomacy through alliances, or win on raw population or intelligence. You do not have to be first in every field — the overall crown rewards the best-balanced, strongest total, so pick the fields your nation is built for and press them.

How to play

  • There is no early win — plan to defend a lead all the way to 2050, not just reach it once.
  • Reaching #1 even briefly is remembered: your peak rank earns 'The First Power' at the end.
  • You only need the best overall total, so lean into the two or three fields your nation excels at.
  • The separate reign score rewards growth vs. your start — small nations are judged fairly, not just by raw size.
