It reads your real state
The AI chief of staff isn't guessing — before every reply, the game hands it a live snapshot of your actual nation. So when it comments on your finances or your rivals, it's reading the same numbers the simulation is running on.
How it works
Each time you send a message, the game builds a fresh state summary and attaches it to the request. That summary includes your tax rate, treasury, GDP, stability, approval and current power rank, plus your full budget breakdown (every spending line as a percentage) and your industry-sector mix. Nothing is invented — these fields are pulled straight from your country object at the moment you ask.
It also gets a read on the world around you: your top ten rivals by power, each with its current relationship value and a flag if you're at war with it, plus a short intelligence briefing (threats, opportunities, whether an anti-hegemony coalition is forming or leaders are holding grudges against you) and a live list of any ongoing wars with whether you're winning, losing or stalemated. This closes the information gap so the advisor reasons from the same picture you see.
Because the snapshot is rebuilt every turn, the advisor's answers track your situation as it changes. Ask 'why did my approval drop?' and it can point at the actual numbers and briefing lines behind the move, then suggest one or two concrete next actions grounded in that state — not generic advice.
